Introduction

An overview of the data in the API, where it comes from and what it is mainly used for.

The Firmainfo API brings Swedish company information together behind a single REST interface. You can work with registry data, annual accounts, boards, workplaces, insider trading, short positions and trademarks without building one integration per source.

Available data

DatasetApproximate sizeUpdated
Companies3.5 million company and business recordsNew limited companies hourly, the full registry weekly
Annual reports3.0 million filings from 578,000 companiesHourly
Workplaces1.4 million locations from 772,000 companiesOn import, no promised cadence
Board positions1.2 million reported rolesWith new annual reports
Insider trading165,000 PDMR transactions from 2016 onwardsEvery minute
Short selling39,000 position observations from 2010 onwardsEvery three minutes
Trademarks600,000 marks with 6.5 million eventsOn import, no promised cadence

The cadences vary by source, not by plan — every plan gets the same data just as fast. Frequently asked questions has the full picture, including how often each source publishes. Current coverage figures are available from the public /metadata/data-coverage resource.

What the API is good for

Basic registry data is only the starting point. Our clearest value lies in the combination of detail, linkage and update frequency.

  • Fast market feeds. Insider trading is checked every minute and short positions every three minutes. Records are linked to the right company using ISIN and LEI among other identifiers.
  • Detailed accounts. An annual report can carry up to 215 structured fields covering notes, employee data, pledged assets, leasing and share classes.
  • Fuller trademark history. Records from the Swedish Patent and Registration Office are supplemented with registered events across the whole life cycle of a case.
  • Freshness you can check yourself. The public /status resource shows when each of our main feeds last succeeded.
